I bought this for my 2016 Honda pilot and used the Honda Hack in order to get it all installed. I also drilled some holes in the device to make sure that it Doesn’t overheat.The instructions give you an IP address you need to type into your unit to download an app to make this work. I have a very high-speed connection to my unit, but the download kept failing or saying it will take 6 hours to download. No way I could leave my car running in my driveway for 6 hours to get it to download. It wouldn't work without the app. No customer support response. Ended up returning.Does not work with wireless CarPlay. Even paid extra for it. You have to download an app for it on your screen. Then once you do that, it just says connecting. Connecting forever. I waited an hour. Nothing. Have to use the plug in for it. Does not work wirelessly.Easiest thing you’ll ever install. Just plug it in and download what the instructions say and you are on your way. Not even new cars have the options you will. Wireless or wired car play and wired android auto . So Great! Highly recommend. Worth every penny.The CarPlay only works with the phone plugged in when I payed extra for the wireless one. I’ve tried everything there is to try 10 times over and this thing is crap. The apps also don’t work as they are supposed to. Save your money and buy a better one.Not suitable for Camry 2017 or Ford Explorer 2015it's crapMy car (2018 Kia Soul) and phone (Samsung S8+) support wired android auto perfectly. The S8+ is a supported wireless android auto device. I installed the sketchy app APK from a random IP address per the instructions, and it still did not work. The car would not recognize it.Open the package to find the $100 dongle scratched and scuffed, definitely already been used and returned. I am yet to test it but will likely be returning it…*UPDATE* installed into my car, HAS NO WIRELESS FEATURES AT ALL. Item barely works, half the time it doesn’t detect your phone. Played the music through my phone speakers instead of my car stereo. Will be returning. What a piece of junk.It took a while to install the app because the link provided for the apk file doesn’t work. Had to downloaded to usb then instal on my deck. Then it was a breeze.I wasted my money on this.It's not what was advertise when you buy it you to be going on these Chinese site to download stuff which don't even work is sending you all over netThe wireless carplay works good. would recommend if you have an android system in your car.
